Indian Sauté Pan

Sauté Pan - India

In India, pans similar to our sauté pans are used, but they generally lack handles and lids. They are handled with tongs called pakkad. Here in North America, we have very fine tri-ply sauté pans (with handle and lid) which will do fine for recipes these would be used for.   Photo ©Treasure Artefacts, borrowed for lack of any other source.
