Hemp Seed (1)
Sea Salt

Make   -   (15 min)
  1. Dry pan toast Hemp Seed until lightly browned, as in photo. Let cool well.
  2. Mix with Salt and run to a coarse powder in a spice grinder, mini processor, or whatever you have.
NOTES:
  1. Hemp Seed:

I use hulled hemp seed which is pretty easy to find here in Southern California, or on-line. Hemp seeds in the hull are available but more restricted. Hulled seed allows you to skip the winnowing process in older recipes, which is, after grinding, pass through a wire strainer to remove the chaff.
  2. Comments:

Hemp seeds are a common ingredient in Lithuania, though that country has restrictions similar to those in the US. They are being relaxed there, as they are here.
  3. U.S. measure: t=teaspoon, T=Tablespoon, c=cup, qt=quart, oz=ounce, #=pound, cl=clove in=inch, ar=as required tt=to taste
